Position: Driver/Mover

Job Duties Include:

Safe and careful driving of the Jason’s Moving truck and other vehicles

Perform daily circle checks before dispatching and operating the trucks or vehicles for the day

Ensure that the Jason’s Moving truck is in a safe and driveable condition with appropriate oil and fuel levels at all times

Keep accurate driving notes in Ministry of Transportation (MTO) mandatory Driver’s Logbook 

Keep accurate driving notes in Ministry of Transportation mandatory Electronic Logging Device (ELD)

Obey all traffic laws and MTO laws

Wear company uniform and always represent Jason’s Moving in the most professional manner

Safe and efficient handling of furniture: Ensure proper lifting, carrying, and loading techniques to protect furniture and personal belongings during transport.

• Packing personal items:Carefully pack customers’ possessions to ensure their safety during the move.
• Furniture disassembly and reassembly:Break down and set up furniture as required for safe transport and placement.
• Truck loading and unloading:Strategically load and unload moving trucks to maximize space and minimize the risk of damage.
• Protecting homes during moves:Lay down floor runners, use padding, and follow procedures to safeguard walls, floors, and doorways at customer locations.
• Customer service:Communicate professionally and courteously with customers to ensure a positive experience throughout the moving process.
• Adhering to company policies and procedures:Follow all operational and safety guidelines to maintain the high standards Jason’s Moving is known for.

An AZ or DZ license is considered an asset but not mandatory for this position.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

• A valid driver’s license (AZ or DZ license is an asset but not required).
